Our executive chef and his staff of kitchen professionals at Covey Rise Lodge work hard to create a transcendent dining experience, full of relaxation and luxury. Whether you’re here for lunch between your hunting excursions or as a guest of a private event, you’ll enjoy a carefully planned, well-executed meal. Not only is all the produce we serve grown and harvested daily on our property, but we also pride ourselves in orchestrating next-level seasonal menus— so much so that our farm-to-table concept has inspired many regional restaurants.
Our Product’s Freshness Is No Secret
Covey Rise Lodge starts with the freshest ingredients, then we treat them simply and allow the flavors to speak for themselves. Our executive chef, Chef Marc Lyons, takes full advantage of our on-site farm and harvest-fresh produce. He focuses on highlighting the true taste of the product, as opposed to over-seasoning or adding fat. At Covey Rise Lodge, farm-to-table is not just an expression—it’s the basis of our dining experience. The kitchen spends a lot of time sourcing and testing products and only believes in the highest of standards.
We’re Here to Host Your Private Event
Covey Rise Lodge offers private bookings, and we want to host your next event! Our events include a tour of Covey Rise Farms, along with dinner, breakfast, and overnight accommodations. We open event bookings for our luxury property from May to August and only request a minimum of six people per group. Our staff of event planners works tirelessly to customize your special event and provide the best venue in Husser, Louisiana to our beloved patrons.

Chef Mark Lyons!
Born and raised in South Louisiana, Chef Marc Lyons brings a lifetime of culinary passion to every dish he creates at Covey Rise Lodge. Chef Marc used the state’s rich culinary tradition as a stepping stone to explore what he believes to be his calling. Over the years, he has mastered many culinary techniques and aims to bring exceptional products to every patron. On any given occasion, you can expect dishes, such as Lacquered Quail with Steen's Cane Syrup and Creole Mustard and Spiced Duck Breast with Ginger and Local Honey.
