Down a winding road, nestled among 600 private, wooded acres in Husser, Louisiana is the Northshore’s newest, multi-purpose event center. The Venue at Covey Rise is a place like no other and the perfect spot for your one-of-a-kind destination wedding, corporate event, party, fundraiser, and more. For twenty years, Louisiana residents and those from other states—and countries—have discovered the ultimate sportsman’s retreat at family-owned Covey Rise Lodge. Now, the amenities and accommodations have expanded with the addition of an 8,000- square-foot event venue complete with high-end restaurant, bar, and lodging. Whether you’re planning an intimate, destination wedding or a multi-day corporate event, whether you’re entertaining investors or celebrating one of life’s milestone moments, The Venue at Covey Rise offers a unique and verdant getaway from the city—yet it’s only an hour from New Orleans or Baton Rouge.

Wedding Guide

Rehearsal Dinner

  • Reception Style — Up to 80 People
  • Seated Dinner — Up to 40 People
  • Menu Options: Seated Family Style / Seated Dinner
  • Children's Menu — $15.00 for ages 12 and under (choices of chicken tenders & fries, or pasta. Ice cream for dessert)
  • No Rental Fee
  • Includes our standard tables, chairs, and linen

Lodge Overnight Details

  • Overnight stay required in Lodge
  • Lodging Standard Pricing — $1,534.84 (Included taxes & service fees)
  • Lodge Rehearsal Dinner Pricing — $922.13 (Included taxes & service fees — discounted rate when you host your rehearsal dinner with us!)
  • 6 bedrooms each with it's own bathroom
  • Can host up to 12 people overnight

Venue Fee: $4,000.00

  • Tables and chairs based on the Standard Floor Plan
  • Linen rental for tables
  • Linen napkins for 200 guests
  • Glassware, Plate-ware, and silverware for 200 guests
  • Cake Cutting
  • (move Picnic to the next line so it doesn't cut it off)  Picnic Basket, and bottle of sparkling
  • This price can increase if we need to add on additional rentals or specialty items

Ceremony Fee: $1,000.00

  • 200 White padded chairs
  • Additional chairs available for an increase cost

The Venue FAQ

  • Typically, we allot 30 minutes for ceremony & receptions run 3 hours.
    We can extend the bar for an extra $6.00 per person for a 4 hour reception.
  • We charge $15.00 for ages 12 and under for the food price.
  • We do not charge or count children in bridal party within your guest count. They will eat for free.
  • We do have a small Bridal suite for the day of with no extra charge.
  • We require at the time of booking a signed contract and a $1,000.00 deposit.
  • We do not offer a tasting menu but are happy to assist with any questions.
  • We do have Rain plans in place and once we know a guest count we can discuss a back up plan.
  • We do have recommend vendors but you are allowed to bring in your own vendors. We do not allow outside food or bar vendors.

The Venue | Fine Dining

The Wesley Restaurant and Bar within The Venue at Covey Rise features dining from chef Austin Kirzner with farm-to-table options, in an elegant, old-world atmosphere. With rich, mahogany accents and timeless décor, The Wesley speaks of elegance and refinement while providing state-of-the-art amenities. The main event space has been designed to accommodate 400 standing or more than 200 seated. Events can also be tailored for smaller groups and can be formal or casual. The recent addition of The Hideaways provides overnight accommodations just feet from the event space—but a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city—as well as hunting and other activities for groomsmen or corporate participants.
