Corporate Events
Escape into the tranquil world of Covey Rise. Only an hour from Louisiana’s two largest metropolitan areas, New Orleans and Baton Rouge, this country retreat provides the ultimate destination for entertaining business clients, conducting corporate meetings and seminars, or gathering with friends and family.
The hunting season opens on October 15th and closes on April 15th every year. The Lodge and Conference Center are open all year for special events, summer camps, family gatherings, and corporate meetings. Enjoy the beauty of rolling fields, quiet piney woods, a clear running creek and our fifteen-acre stocked lake. Our knowledgeable guides and professionally trained bird dogs accompany you through an outstanding wingshooting experience. Aside from superior bobwhite quail, chukar, pheasant, and mallard hunting, guests may take advantage of an assortment of other outdoor activities, such as clay target shooting through the wooded course and a lighted five-stand for shooting by day or night.
The Lodge
Relax in the year-round comfort of a spacious cypress Lodge, with a large inviting fireplace and family dining area with adjacent bar. The game and recreation room features a large screen television, card tables, pool table, and bar. Overnight guests will experience three sumptuous southern meals. Each of the six bedrooms offers three beds and a full private bath. The Lodge can accommodate a total of eighteen people, while the dining area can seat in excess of forty.
A large back porch lined with rocking chairs beckons you to enjoy views of Mother Nature’s vibrant landscape and sounds of the native wildlife. You can walk nature trails, with opportunities for observing and photographing wildlife in their natural habitat. Cast your fishing pole in the dew-drenched early morning or at twilight as the sun sets over the lake to begin or end your Covey Rise day.
Conference Center
Our Conference Center offers a new 2,000 square-foot facility with conference-style seating at multiple tables, A/V capability, a fireplace, and an outdoor swimming pool and barbeque pit.
Overnight or multi-night accommodations are provided either in our spacious and private rooms in the Lodge or in our individual Cabins on the Lake, creating an ideal setting for your corporate meetings and special events. Our staff will work with your meeting planner to customize your event and accommodate your specific needs. We can provide meals, beverages, and snacks to make your function a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Transportation
For guests arriving by plane in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, or Hammond, we offer transportation services for arrival and departure. Covey Rise also offers a helicopter landing pad for guests on the grounds of the Lodge.
